Born of a brutal marriage between  sea and  fire a few million years ago, this is an island which does fit  in  the classical cliches of the tropical paradise.
There are beaches, coconuts palms, but that's not the main part of its landscapes. The air is mild  in "Summer" as in "winter", but it sometimes freezes sometimes, in the "Heights".
Wheter through its landscapes or through its way of life, this island is different from the others and goes against cliches. However REUNION mustn't be judged at first sight.
It has the components of the tropical island, but they are mixed together with hundreds of  others , which makes it fascinating.
Of course, it is more difficult to become well acquainted with its subtleties than to bask in the sun of some other ocean without thinking.

It doesn't give itself out, it has to be deserved. Besides there are hundreds of different but mixed aspects to REUNION, a whole archipelage in this strange french departement rooted in the far end of the world.

Some people will ever say that the whole world  is to be found in its landscapes and its people.
